Start with three or four DPT programs that you could realistically attend, then work backward. Put each graduate program’s required course next to the corresponding undergraduate course number, lab, credit amount, and planned semester. A blank cell becomes an advising question rather than a surprise during application season.
A named pre-PT concentration is most useful when this worksheet fits within the bachelor’s degree. If required chemistry or biology displaces an elective, confirm that the substitution satisfies both programs. Do the same for transfer courses before accepting an admission offer.
Does an Internship Count as PT Observation?

Keep the supervisor’s credentials, dates, setting, and signed hours together. Do not wait until the application deadline to request documentation from a clinician whose schedule may have changed.
Compare the Cost of the Actual Course Plan
Compare financial-aid offers using the semesters you will actually attend. Include an extra summer science course, transportation to a placement, and any prerequisite taken at another college. A lower annual tuition rate can be less useful if the course sequence adds a term.
Ask whether labs meet on fixed days, whether a required course runs only once each year, and whether the internship permits paid work alongside it. These questions make a cost comparison personal without pretending a university-wide sticker price is your bill.

Questions About Pre-Physical Therapy Preparation
Is Kinesiology Required for DPT Admission?
No. APTA says DPT programs do not require one specific undergraduate major. Choose a degree in which you can do well while completing the prerequisites of your target programs.
Does a Pre-PT Concentration Guarantee Admission?
No. It describes undergraduate preparation. DPT admission remains a separate process with program-specific coursework, grades, experience, and application requirements.
Can I Complete a Pre-PT Track Online?
Check the exact track and laboratory rules. Oregon State lists its pre-therapy option in Corvallis; the broader kinesiology major’s delivery choices do not establish that the option is online.
