What this site is
This is a reference site. It scores and compares US degree programs in kinesiology and exercise science using data those institutions filed with the federal government, and it publishes the model that produces every score. It is editorially independent: no institution pays for a ranking position, and no school has any say in where it appears.
What this site is not
It is not academic advising, career counseling, financial advice, or clinical advice. Nothing here should be the only basis for choosing a program, taking on debt, or making a career decision. Admission requirements, tuition, accreditation status and program structure all change, and the institution’s own admissions office is the authoritative source for its own program — which is why every program card links directly to it.
Wage figures describe what people already working in an occupation earn in a given area. They are not a prediction of what you will earn, and they are not outcomes for graduates of any particular program. We do not hold graduate-outcome data and do not present any.
Accuracy, and the limits of it
Every figure on this site traces to a named public source: IPEDS for institutional and program data, the BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics release for wages, O*NET for occupational requirements, and the certifying body’s own publication for each credential. Where a school did not file a figure, this site shows nothing rather than guessing.
That still leaves real limits. Federal data lags: a filing describes a past academic year, not today. Schools occasionally file errors, and those errors flow through to us. Our own pipeline can be wrong. The site is therefore provided as-is, without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose, and you should verify anything you are about to rely on with the institution directly.
If you find something wrong, write to help@hakia.com with the page and the figure. Corrections get made and the page’s update date moves.
Using what is here
Read it, print it, and share it. You may quote or cite this site freely with a link back, and teachers and advisers are welcome to use it with students.
The underlying federal data is public and we claim nothing over it. The scoring model, the written analysis, the page structure and the presentation are ours. Please do not scrape the site wholesale to republish it as your own, and do not present our scores as though they came from somewhere else. Automated requests that degrade the site for other readers are not acceptable use.
Third-party links
Outbound links go to institutions, federal agencies and certifying bodies. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their practices, and a link is not an endorsement beyond the ranking the page already states.
Advertising and paid links
Some links here are paid, and the site may carry advertising and paid listings. Those are labeled where they appear, and they do not change ranking order, which is computed from federal data. Anything you buy or apply for through such a link is a transaction between you and that organization; we are not a party to it and cannot resolve a dispute arising from it. What data an outside ad network receives is covered in the privacy policy.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything published here, including decisions about enrollment, borrowing, or employment.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top is the last substantive revision, and continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.
